Minkz have a wide range of furniture products selected from some of the best manufacturers around the globe and our warranties are more comprehensive, and in many cases longer, than those other furniture stores offer.
Just ask for full warranty details on any product from our staff (the minimum on most products is 12 months). And here is a further brief guide:

Minkz Furniture & Homewares Frequently asked Questions:
1. Are your Sofas made with 100% cowhide? What leathers are your Sofas made from?
All our Sofas and Lounges use 100% Cowhide leather for long-lasting quality and comfort. We do not use Buffalo or Camel-hide; these are cheaper than Cowhide but do not offer the same qualities. Minkz uses mainly leathers dyed in a vat with the Drum-rolled method so that the colour goes all the way through, instead of just spraying the colour on the surface. We have over 100 leather colours to choose from and will advise you on the most suitable leather to suit your needs. NO vinyl is ever used on our Sofas or Lounges as it does not look the same, and wears poorly over time compared to the long-lasting qualities of cowhide leather.
2. Do you use wood veneer or paper veneer? What is the difference?
Minkz does not use paper veneer or melamine. All our veneer furniture is made from real oak wood veneer which is thicker, more durable and easier to repair than paper veneer. Real timber veneer has all the beautiful qualities of solid timber, without the price tag and with the extra durability of being the perfect material to manufacture modern furniture from. You care for your timber veneer furniture just as you would solid timber furniture and if you do happen to scratch it, you can easily use a repair pen to touched it up.
3. How durable is your lacquered furniture?
Minkz lacquered furniture is very durable because we only use a two-pac lacquer, which is the best quality lacquer on the market. This isn’t the same as the cheap lacquer or paint finishes. It is much more durable – and it doesn’t chip or scratch as easily. It also has a UV protector in it to reduce discolouring whereas cheaper finishes can discolour very quickly. You can also use a car polish to get out minor scratches, as you would with a car’s paint finish. (It’s the same durable finish). If by accident a product does get quite heavily scratched, it can easily be repaired at a fraction of the cost of replacing a whole new unit.
4. What is the structure of your furniture made from?
Minkz use solid MDF board, not chip board or corrugated cardboard like most of the other furniture in the market. Solid MDF board is stronger and more durable – it doesn’t warp or crack, and can withstand a lot more weight. Be careful when you buy furniture as many other retailers sell cheaper units however the materials that they are made from is inferior and the units are structurally not as strong and quite likely to bow over time. As we design most of the Minkz Furniture Range, all of our furniture designs are inspected by structural engineers to ensure the frame, supports and materials used will perform as required and all our products go through vigorous quality assurance checks as part of the manufacturing process and once again in our warehouse.
5. What makes your products different from your competitors?
Mostly our biggest difference is we don’t shy away from spending more to get better quality. Things such as solid veneer wood tables as opposed to paper veneer, heavy gauge stainless steel not light weight table frames, chair frames etc. We only use heavy duty gas lifts in our bar stools so they won’t loose gas and stop working, our leather comes in a range of different grades & colours to suit all kinds of wear and tear. We also have a range of exclusive lines so you won’t find our products anywhere else.
Beyond our product range we also have a Qualified Interior Designer on the floor at each of our stores, who can give free advice in store and also do fee for service in home consults.
We also don’t stop our service when you walk out the door, we can install your furniture, hang your paintings and take away the rubbish for you.
6. Does Minkz offer Interest-free Terms?
Yes, we offer GE finance on 6, 12 and 24 month Interest Free. Ask in-store for more details.
7. What is your refund policy?
In the unlikely event you would like to return your purchase, Minkz will be happy to offer you a store credit to the value of your purchase, or you can swap the item for another.
8. If I don’t like the art when I get it home in my house, can I return it?
Yes – you may return it, and you are entitled to a store credit. We will work with you to find a piece that you are 100% happy with.
9. Why is your furniture more expensive than some other retailers?
Minkz specify far superior materials compared to those used by most other furniture suppliers. Minkz offers bigger products which are manufactured to the highest standards, by skilled and experienced craftsmen. Our furniture ranges are not like mass-produced items, which are usually of inferior quality and only worth half as much as the price some other retailers ask for them. Please ask our team for specific Product Information if you would like to know more about what makes our products superior to the competition.
10. Does Minkz Offer Leather and Fabric Protection?
Yes – we help protect your leather and fabric upholstery from stains, coffee, red wine, 5-year-olds with crayons, accidental damage and more! Minkz offers a 5 year leather and fabric protector that gives you and your family peace of mind. It acts as a defence barrier against staining by slowing down the absorption of many liquids, and is made from water-based, environmentally friendly materials. Keep in mind though, spills do need to be attended to quickly to ensure the best possible result. You new sofa will be protected and have a wonderful safeguard against permanent staining from food and drink. 11. Does Minkz offer an In-Store Interior Design Service?
Yes – Minkz offers an In-store Interior design service, where a qualified Minkz Interior Designer will work from your plans or photos to help create the home of your dreams – and we also offer our very popular, easy 3-Step In-Home Interior Design Service, where the Minkz consultant will come to your home.
12. Can Minkz deliver?
Yes – we can wrap, deliver and unpack all of your goods. These are then fully assembled and placed exactly where you want them. We will even take away all the rubbish. It couldn’t be easier with Minkz.
13. Are my goods covered by Transit Insurance?
Yes – if you choose to get Minkz to deliver your furniture, you can rest assured that your goods are fully insured right up until the delivery staff leave your home. If you elect to pick up your own goods, you take ownership at the store.
14. If I order a product, can I rely on the delivery dates you give me?
Minkz has five warehouses stocked full of our products, so most of our stock is available to you immediately. On the odd occasion that we may need to order something in for you, we will give you reliable dates of when you can expect to receive the product so as not to inconvenience you.
15. What happens if the furniture doesn’t fit the space?
If you find that the furniture doesn’t fit the space once it has been delivered to your home, we will be happy to give you a credit for the product so that you may choose something more suitable. And we will assist you to do this.
16. Can you hang art and assemble beds?
Yes – Minkz offer a professional hanging service to ensure that your beautiful artworks are perfectly displayed. We can also put your beds together and put the mattresses on the bases, saving you time and strain on your back!
17. What if I am building a home, and I am not ready to have my products delivered?
Minkz can store your furniture in our warehouse for up to 12 months free of charge, until your home has been completed.
18. What makes you qualified to give advice?
